Salvation

God wants everyone to come into the knowledge of Christ (1 Timothy 2:4-6), and wants no one to perish (2 Peter 3:9). The path to salvation through Jesus Christ  and an eternity spent in heaven is a simple one.

Not easy, but simple.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

First, acknowledge your sin and need for redemption:

F
or all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

God's plan for redemption:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  Romans 10:9-10

Your future as a Christian:

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-4

"All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:25-27

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14

The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him  [Abraham] alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Romans 4:23-25

Won't you ask Christ into your heart today? I'd love to hear from you, if you make this decision. Life as a Christian doesn't mean a life without hardships, but it does mean life with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you as Christ walks with you through difficult times. Find a good Bible-believing church and spend time in prayer and Bible study to grow in your Christian walk.
